About me

PhD in Ecology · in progress

I'm an IT engineer with a master's degree in ecology, currently pursuing a PhD in ecology. I'm driven by the intersection of technology and science: turning thousands of camera-trap images into useful data for research and conservation.

During my master's, I implemented computer vision to detect species in camera-trap images, automating one of the most time-consuming tasks in wildlife monitoring. In my PhD, I plan to push this line further: more robust models, broader species coverage, and tools that make monitoring teams' work easier.

Species detection in camera-trap images

A computer vision system developed during my master's to detect and classify species in camera-trap images, automating one of the most time-consuming tasks in wildlife monitoring. In my PhD, I aim to extend it with larger data volumes and broader species coverage.
